Sunday January 26, 2025, 10:30 a.m.
Rev. Bill Gupton leads this service.
Today marks the first Sunday of a new era in American history – and the first of two consecutive Sundays in which Rev. Bill will reflect on the very unsettled state of affairs in which we find ourselves here at the beginning of the year 2025.
For two decades now, at this time of year, our minister has offered a “State of the Church” sermon, loosely patterned after the U.S. President’s annual “State of the Union” address. Well – that’ll be next week. Today, he will consider where our nation and our society are headed, and offer some thoughts on how we might survive the rocky road that lies ahead.
