Rev. Bill Gupton leads this service
This Thanksgiving weekend, many of us have welcomed others to our table – or have been guests at another’s table. This practice of hospitality – of welcoming – cuts across all cultures, religions, and eras. As such, it appears to be an innate expression of the human spirit, a sacred manifestation of our belief in the “inherent worth and dignity of every person.” Today, let us reflect on this practice, let us celebrate being welcomed at the table – and let us commit to making room at our table, for all those who seek sanctuary with us.
