The UUA MidAmerica Extended Leadership Experience is an opportunity for existing leaders, and soon to be leaders, to gain experience and knowledge about how to lead more effectively in your congregation. There are four sessions. Each will include pre-work through the UU Institute website, and then an online presentation on UU history and theology by Rev. Connie Simon, followed by a summary of key details and then an opportunity to discuss with fellow learners, ask questions, and learn with and from each other. This event is designed for laypersons.
Topics covered include:
- creating covenant
- dismantling white supremacy culture
- mission/vision work
- listening circle modalities
- systems theory
- conflict
There is pre-work for learners to complete on the UU Institute website prior to a synchronous session, and your registration includes access to the course materials on the UU Institute website.
Registration fees are on a sliding scale, based on your ability to pay.
Sliding Scale Fee: $50 – $100 – $150
Registration is recommended by September 15, 2024, in order to have time for the pre-work, but registrations are welcomed after that date.
