The UUA has announced the 2025 General Assembly (GA) music leaders for three GA positions – Music Coordinator, Choir Director, and Band Leader/Accompanist.
Natasha Steinmacher is returning as the 2025 GA Music Coordinator. Natasha is the Director of Music Ministry at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Cherry Hill, NJ, where she has served the music ministry for over 20 years. In previous years, she contributed music for General Assembly as both soprano soloist and choir accompanist.
Rev. Verdis LeVar Robinson will serve as the 2025 GA Choir Director. Rev. Verdis is a newly fellowshipped Unitarian Universalist minister who holds degrees in History, African American Studies, and Music Performance from SUNY College at Brockport, SUNY University at Buffalo, and Boston University. He is currently an Assistant Minister for Growth at First Unitarian Church of Rochester, and the Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of East Aurora.
Carl Kennedy will be stepping in as both Band Leader and Accompanist for GA 2025. Carl Kennedy serves as Director of Music at Second Unitarian Church of Chicago where he directs the choir, the band, and works as the primary service pianist. He is a current candidate for Music Leadership Certification and serves as the worship band coordinator for the AUUMM conference planning committee.
