Heritage UU Church’s Social Justice Collaborative is a way for members and friends concerned about improving the world and protecting democracy to meet and support each other. As a “collaborative,” the group does not set policy or pick projects. Instead, people share the areas of social justice that move them to action and volunteer to help others in their key activities.
Currently, many in the group are concerned about the encroachment of authoritarianism in our society and are taking action to push back. There is also interest in continuing direct help to people who are without housing or are food insecure. Injustices concerning immigrants, persons of color, and the LGBTQ community continue to take our attention.
We invite all Heritage members and friends to join us in a meeting and learn what is going on. The next meeting will be on Sunday, August 16, 2026, starting about ten minutes after the morning worship service.
