Potluck Secret #3 for Sunday, June 9, 2024

Third in a series

June is a busy month with graduations, weddings, and other early summer gatherings. Who has time to cook for the potluck lunch on June 9, 2024 in the great hall, immediately following Sunday’s morning worship service? Here’s an option for you. Did you know that UDF caters? Well, maybe not officially, but it is a convenient place to stop and pick up something as your offering to the gourmet collection that covers our luncheon tables each second Sunday of the month.

Don’t worry, if you meet other HUUC congregants and friends at the UDF in Newtown as they do their last minute “cooking” for the event en route to church. UDF provides many options in their ice cream freezers. In fact, I claim that I’ve spent many hours churning my offering, after I milked the cow – well, somebody had to milk it and churned it! I just put it in a commercial carton because I’m a devoted recycler.

Don’t worry if you forget to “cook” or “churn”, there is always more than enough to fill the stomachs of all, whether they be carnivores, vegans, on a healthy or junk food diet. Please join our friendly feast after the morning worship service on June 9, 2024.
