Sunday, October 1, 2023. Offsite.
You can join or support the UU “Side with Love” team.
The “Side with Love” team shares the following message:
Hello everyone,
Cincinnati UUs have participated in previous Out of the Darkness Walks to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. (See also the Cincinnati Walk page.)
Sunday, October 1st, will be at least the 10th year that the UU team (led by St. John’s) is participating in this amazing and life-affirming event. Please join us, in person or in spirit! Whether you are at the walk in person or not, you are encouraged to register to join our Side With Love team. If you have registered in the past, you will need to use the same email and password you have used previously. You are welcome to join the team even if you can’t make it and can’t donate! You count!
Please use the links below to donate without registering. Your donation will help the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) fund research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.
Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation, click this “Donate” link and then search for “Nicole Stanforth”. If you would rather donate by check, please make the check payable to AFSP and mail it in with the offline donation form. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
UU walkers are encouraged to wear their yellow “Side with Love” shirts if they have them, so walkers can find each other and participate together.
If you have questions now or on the day of the walk, you can contact Nicole Stanforth, team leader, at 513-708-3101.
