Wednesday, December 20, 2023, 6:30 p.m. for the party, 7:00 p.m. for the movie.
In December, instead of a book discussion the Babes with Books (otherwise known as the Heritage Women’s Book Club) put away their reading glasses and pick up glasses of something more potent to celebrate the holidays with a party and movie. This year the movie screening, following a “social adjustment” period starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Heritage Room with shared holiday snacks, is the sweet comedy flick entitled Jules. Synopsis: Three retired people in small town Pennsylvania find their humdrum lives changed when an alien crashes in the backyard. Bring your favorite sweets or savories to share for viewing this endearing movie.
Future BWB gathering dates and reads are currently as follows:
January 17 – The Story of Edgar Sawtell, by David Wroblewski (start this one early, it is lengthy and copies are limited through the library)
February 21 – Remarkably Bright Creatures, by Shelby Van Pelt
March 20 – Hello Beautiful, by Ann Napolitano
April 17 – The Maid, by Nita Prose
All meetings are held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Heritage Room, unless otherwise announced.
All women (be they members, or friends) are always invited to any BWB meeting—whether they have read the book or not. Unless otherwise announced, the meeting’s book selection is available on hold for the Heritage Book Club at the Anderson Township branch of the Hamilton County library approximately a month in advance.
