Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church
8101 Beechmont Ave.
Cincinnati, OH 45255

Anderson Churches for Racial Unity (ACRU)  and Greater Anderson Promotes Peace (GAPP) are sponsoring an educational program titled Immigration 101 by the organization Ignite Peace. Ignite Peace (formerly Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center) educates and advocates for peace, challenges unjust systems, and promotes the creation of a nonviolent society.

According to the Ignite Peace website, ignitepeace.org, the organization describes the course as follows:

“Are you new to the Immigration Justice movement?  Could you use a refresher on how our immigration system works?  Do you know someone who wants to understand the issue of immigration better?

You are invited to a special offering of our Immigration 101 presentation. We will define basic terms, facilitate a small group activity using the Immigration Board Game, offer a local story, and encourage discussion on current events and challenges facing the immigrant community in Cincinnati. We will also provide ways for you to get plugged into our powerful movement for change.”

Registration for this event is requested at https://immigration101cincy.eventbrite.com.
