“State of the Church”

 Sunday February 2, 2025, 10:30 a.m.

Rev. Bill Gupton leads this service.

Heritage Church – formerly and formally known as the First Universalist Society of Cincinnati – is nearly 198 years old. This morning our Senior Minister, who will be retiring from the Unitarian Universalist ministry this spring, will share his final “State of the Church” reflection.

Legendary Unitarian minister Theodore Parker once spoke of “the transient and the permanent.” With major changes on the horizon at Heritage, what might we hold on to as “timeless” – and what might we embrace as generative transformation? Our Board of Trustees will also make a report on the status of the ministerial transition during the service, and will hold a town hall meeting immediately after the service to answer your questions.

Bonus: Our beloved Choir sings for us today!
