I Wanted It So I Brought It to
the November 10, 2024 Feast
Eighth in a series
I really can’t cook, but I can make soup, and I mean from scratch – not just opening a can! I used to be intimidated to cook this food group, but I learned it is really just chop up different edible items and boil them. Well, there is really more to it than that, but that’s the general principle. Unfortunately, when I make soup I have to make a big pot of it. That means I can’t eat it all. So especially during the cold months, I bring my soup to the HUUC second Sunday potluck lunch to share. I may “taste” it for a meal before the luncheon, and hope there is some left to take home with me.
Whether you also share a hearty pot of soup or stew, casserole, salad, dessert, or even just your presence, come join us after worship service on Sunday November 10, 2024 in the great hall. If you see my matzo ball soup on the table, you know I was feeling extra “loving” this month!
