An Octopus Tells the Story to the BWB

Wednesday, February 21, 7 – 9 pm, in the Heritage Room

This month’s book club selection recounts the relationship between an octopus and the aquarium’s housekeeper. The reader is often perplexed regarding who is the “remarkably bright” entity in Shelby Van Pelt’s novel Remarkably Bright Creatures, the February 21, 2024 meeting’s novel for Heritage’s Women’s book club, known affectionately as Babes with Books, or the BWB. Come join us from 7 – 9 pm in the Heritage Room to discuss this unusual, touching, up-lifting, but deceptively sensitive novel with an octopus narrator, a perfect antidote for the depressing days of winter.

March 20 – Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano

April 17 – The Maid by Nita Prose

May 22 – Those We Thought We Knew by David Joy

June 19 – Enchantment by Katherine May

July 17 – What Your Are Looking For is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama

August 21 – The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Location TBD)

September 18 – Master Slave Husband Wife by Ilyon Woo

All BWB meetings are held from 7 – 9 pm in the Heritage Room, unless otherwise announced.

All women (be they members, or friends) are always invited to any BWB meeting – whether they have read the book or not. Unless otherwise announced, the meeting’s book selection is available on hold for the Heritage Book Club at the Anderson Township branch of the Hamilton County library approximately a month in advance.
