During 2023, Heritage Church will conduct a Website / Heirloom Redesign project, resulting in a church website and Heirloom newsletter with a new look and feel, using new technology. During the redesign, input will be sought from the congregation, staff, and Board.
Although the church’s current webmaster, Russ Araujo, plans to conduct the redesign, the project provides a perfect opportunity for one or two new volunteers to become involved.
A future Web Administrator would be responsible for the technical side of the website, and would answer general questions from others. During the project, they would do research and help choose the technology that they want to work with in the future. They would be involved in design, software installation, configuration, conversion of selected parts of the current website, documentation, and taking the new website live. A person who wishes to take on this role should feel comfortable with information technology.
A future Web Communicator would be responsible for soliciting and inputting content for the website, and creating the monthly Heirloom newsletter. Toward the end of the redesign project, they would help convert selected parts of the current website. A person who wishes to take on this role should feel comfortable in word processing, copy editing, and very basic picture manipulation.
