A message from the Retreat Planning Team:
September is drawing near, so the Retreat Planning Team wants to remind you that we will be hosting a VIRTUAL retreat on September 25th, at 7 pm. This event is free of charge and open to women members and friends of Heritage Universalist Unitarian Church. Come together in fellowship to honor what would have been our first night of the 2020 Women’s Retreat. The theme of this year’s retreat will be: HOPE SPRINGS- From Where Does Your Hope Spring?
We plan to bring many of the time-honored traditions you have loved from past retreats at our beloved Hope Springs to this new virtual retreat format. Get ready for some singing, some group discussions, storytelling, and sisterhood, all around a virtual campfire! If you have not been to a retreat yet, this is a great opportunity to check it out with very little commitment. We hope to see many new faces at this year’s virtual retreat, and we are looking forward to getting to know our sisters better.
A little bit of history and honoring retreats of the past: We are putting together a slideshow of pictures from past retreats. Please look through old retreat photos, and email digital copies to Michelle Kelly so they can be part of the virtual retreat slideshow. Photos are due by September 4th. Email Michelle at:
Pull up a rocking chair, grab a marshmallow and your favorite mug, and cozy up to the virtual campfire to hear some stories! Please think of a story you would like to tell about a past retreat, funny or otherwise, that will last approximately 3 minutes. If you have a story to share, please email Joelle Tunning to let her know you will share a story (no need to have the story prepared, just tell her if you plan to share a story at the retreat). Email Joelle at:
Remember the fantastic food we enjoyed at past retreats with Hope Springs? Consider preparing a similar dish to enjoy while experiencing this year’s retreat program. Make it fun! Feel free to dress up in your favorite festive attire as we share an evening of sisterhood – crown, hat, boa, flowers in your hair, whatever calls to you!
We hope you share in our excitement at the opportunity to virtually gather, especially at a time when we need each other so much. If you would like to learn about how to use Zoom, please contact Shelley Graff for a tutorial:
The Zoom link will be distributed on the Sisterhood email group. If you are a woman who wants to attend and not on the Sisterhood email group, please email Michelle Kelly at:
