Our Vespers service will begin again in September after having taken a short break during the month of August. We return refreshed, replenished and re-energized as promised, ready to offer this contemplative service in the hopes that it will help you to feel refreshed, replenished and re-energized. Every time we take the time to pause, be still and reflect, our hearts, minds and spirits are able to shine more brightly.
As we did prior to COVID-19 hitting our country, we are returning to offering this service as a monthly service lasting one hour, on the 4th Wednesday of each month, from 7:00 – 8:00pm. Since the church building is still closed at this time, we will hold Vespers services on the Labyrinth, weather permitting. Please bring a lawn chair. Should the weather not allow for an outdoor service, and once the temperatures become too cold, we will hold these services virtually.
We invite you to join us. We begin our services with music to set a calming atmosphere. Several segments follow, each with an inspirational reading, music or drumming to reach deep into our bodies and souls, ending with a period of reflective silence, during which you may pray, meditate or listen for your inner voice to speak to you.
During this church year, these monthly services will be held on September 23, October 21, November 25, December 23, January 27, February 24, March 24, April 28 and May 26. (November and December dates are subject to change due to the holidays.)
