UU the Vote is a non-partisan faith initiative to engage our neighbors, educate our communities, mobilize voters, and rally around key ballot initiatives.
This will be our third Heritage meeting for UU the Vote, where we plan to make some specific decisions on what we do as a group. Ideas we have discussed so far included:
Making sure that everyone at Heritage is registered to vote.
Holding a “Souls to the Polls” event for Heritage.
Providing childcare on election day, to facilitate parents voting.
Joining with other organizations that are involved in larger efforts, such as registering voters in underrepresented areas and combating voter-suppression efforts.
Attendance at either of the prior UU the Vote meetings is not necessary. Childcare is not provided for this meeting.
