The church now has a special email address where you can send short announcements of upcoming events—announcements that you want to appear in the Sunday Order of Service handout and in the Monday “Our Heritage Connection” email. Send your announcement by email to the address below and the email will be forwarded automatically to both of these communication channels.
The length for these announcements is targeted at 40-60 words. For the next “Our Heritage Connection,” send email by Sunday evening. For the next Order of Service, send email by Thursday at noon.
Using the Weekly Notice email address has two advantages. One, it lets you control exactly what is the key information you want communicated in the Order of Service and the weekly email. Two, it reduces the burden on the “Our Heritage Connection” editor, Steph Tacy, who has been getting announcements from various sources and then editing them down herself for the shorter Monday email length. (On occasion, an announcement may still need to be edited down if space is limited on the Order of Service announcements.)
For the longer versions of announcements that you want to appear in the monthly newsletter, the Heirloom, you can continue to send the articles to the email address shown below.
Articles should be attached as a Microsoft Word document or typed into the body of the email.
