As the debate over Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to become the next Associate Justice on the Supreme Court heats up, and as we move within two months of a defining midterm election in the history of our democracy, our Senior Minister, Rev. Bill Gupton, will be joined by our wonderful HUUC Choir as he reflects on the concept of justice. The phrase “justice for all” is part of our national and cultural heritage, yet it remains – and has always been – an ideal, rather than a reality. Our Heritage Church motto indicates that one of our primary purposes, as a community of faith, is to join our efforts in order to “seek justice.” This morning, let us recommit ourselves to these worthy goals.
