In the Jewish tradition, Yom Kippur, which occurs this week, marks a new beginning. But that renewal doesn’t come without seeking – and giving – forgiveness. The Day of Atonement is the most holy day of the Jewish calendar, partly because it calls believers back into right relationship, as we might say in our Heritage covenant, “with each other, and with God.” This morning we will talk about – and experience – atonement and forgiveness, together. With special music from Connie and Bob Booth. Today is also New Member Sunday; if you would like to join Heritage Church, please contact Rev. Bill Gupton.
