Each year, in our Annual Ingathering Water Ceremony, members and friends of Heritage Church gather and pour water collected from places dear to us together into a common vessel. That water is used to dedicate babies, honor lives lost, and on other ritual occasions.
This Sunday, now half a cycle around the sun since our waters were gathered in, we will consecrate them again, to wash away pain and sorrow, to cleanse our spirits, and to strengthen our commitment to live our values in our annual Water Blessing. Today, our hands – and our hearts – will be touched by holy water. Come experience this simple but powerful ritual of healing and grace. This is a service for all-ages with childcare available for children age 4 and under. The Heritage Choir will also provide us with beautiful music this morning.
