Women Singing In Sacred Circle meets the second Tuesday of every month at Heritage Universalist Unitarian Church in Anderson Township. SISC has become a source of deep friendship, support and healing for many women across the city. Hear what women are saying about this singing circle: “This is truly nourishment for my soul.” “…a beautiful reflective time.” “I always leave feeling energized.” “a refreshing evening in our world of chaos.” “an honoring and soulful circle.”
Singing In Sacred Circle is rare opportunity for each woman to look into her sister’s eyes and share voice and spirit through song. While learning short, repetitive, women-centered and earth-based songs/chants from a wide variety of traditions, all voices create an energy that is both empowering and healing. This opportunity is intended to allow women, regardless of singing experience, to share their voices in a noncompetitive, relaxed, safe space.
Shelley Graff, the facilitator, is a longtime teacher/healer/singer/songwriter who believes her sacred journey is guiding her to share the Singing In Sacred Circle experience with other women.
We gather the second Tuesday of each month. The dates for the future gatherings are the following dates in 2020: March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11, September 8, October 13, November 10, and December 8.
This activity is free and open to all women.
Childcare is currently not provided. If you are interested in childcare, or have any questions, please talk with Tracy Jo Small.
