Saturday, October 8, 2022, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Anderson Center.
(This article is about the ALL-CHURCH RETREAT on the subject. The next day, there will be a WORSHIP SERVICE on reimagining church. Click here to learn about the worship service.)
This past spring, nearly two dozen interested souls gathered for a Saturday retreat focused on “Reimagining Worship” at Heritage. This fall, we are broadening the topic – let’s “Reimagine Church”! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 8, at the Anderson Center on Five Mile Road, for an all-day congregational retreat as together we assess what’s working, what’s not, what we’d like to see change, and what the new realities are (circa 2022 and beyond) in our community and our society when it comes to “church.”
The world is changing. The world has changed. And our beloved church needs to change, too, in order to remain relevant. As we approach the 200th anniversary of this congregation (!), let’s look ahead and imagine what church might be like entering the third century of our heritage. It is an exciting time! Let’s get engaged and create the church we want for ourselves, our children and grandchildren, and our wider community.
