The fall Religious Education session is underway and the leaders of the Sabbatical Team have stepped up to fill in where teachers are needed. Many hands make light work, but it can still feel like a heavy task at times. The children are engaged and are a joy and that is why we give of our time and energies, but we couldn’t do it without our teacher volunteers and our Rover Team of guardian angels. The Rover Team act as the RE security people and point people each Sunday, serving as they check in on the teachers and keep us aware of the service timing. If your child is in RE and you would like to know more about the curriculum, check out the Child and Youth section under the Educational section on our website for specific details. www.huuc.net/category/child-and-youth-classes/
If you have a child that is RE age but does not attend RE, let us know why. WE are always looking for ways to engage more youth. And we can always use more folks to be on our substitute teacher list, let us know if you can serve in that capacity!
