Saturday, November 23, 2019, 6:00 p.m.
The date for our fall Get Acquainted Dinner has been set! If you are new to our church community, be our guest at the twice-yearly dinner for newcomers. Meet others, get to know some of our church leaders, and break bread together on Saturday evening, November 23 at the church.
Get Acquainted Dinners are relaxed, informal evenings that begin at 6 p.m. with appetizers, drinks and, well . . . getting acquainted. Dinner is served at 6:30. There is always a fun theme, courtesy of our dinner coordinator and head chef Ann Jarboe, to help us break the ice. After we eat, we continue the conversation so that we can learn more about one another.
For those who wish to stay a little later, our Senior Minister, Rev. Bill Gupton, offers a quick session called “UU 101” that serves as an introduction to HUUC and Unitarian Universalism, beginning at approximately 8 p.m. (or whenever dinner ends) and lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Here you can learn more about our church, and this thing we call “UUism.”
