For trees, including family trees, there are two important times to plant: twenty years ago, and today.
Church member Doug Beezley is offering an informal introductory discussion of Genealogy and DNA for Heritage Church members. He has been doing genealogy work since 2003, and entered into genealogical DNA in 2008. Aside from his own personal Family Tree, his major project is a worldwide Surname Study of the Beasley name, all spellings.
Whether you have worked on your own genealogy for years or not at all, the idea of having ancestors is easy to understand. DNA has been heavily advertised as a way to find “where did I come from?” but is more difficult to truly understand. Together, genealogy and DNA fit hand in glove.
The informal, introductory discussion will take place on Wednesday evening, February 5, 2020, beginning at 7 pm. It will be in the Heritage Room or Great Hall depending on how many show up.
Doug will be pleased to meet with you. He will give a general introduction and from there it will depend on the interest and questions of participants.
