Heritage’s Death Positive Film Series returns for its second year of informative, educational, ground-breaking movies, documentaries and short films with a new date – the first Friday of each month, beginning in September. You are invited to the Heritage Room on Friday, September 7, at 7 p.m. for a screening of the PBS documentary “Into the Night: Portraits of Life and Death” (https://www.intothenightdoc.com/)
The film offers a profound and intimate look into varied belief systems and experiences of life, death, and what might lie “beyond the veil” as expressed by those who either work with the dying, or have personally come close to their own death through a near-death experience or terminal diagnosis. Interviewees range from Caitlin Doughty, the founder of the Death Positive movement (and thus, by extension, our own film series) to astrophysicist Adam Frank to theologian Phyllis Tickle.
Don’t miss “Into the Night” on September 7 at 7:00 at HUUC. BYOP (Bring Your Own Popcorn)!
