Members and friends of Heritage Church can help our beloved community reach financial goals simply by letting go of things they own but no longer need or want. Last year, our church successfully raised funds through an Everything But The House sale. This year, organizers are planning a similar EBTH sale this spring, as well as a traditional on-site church (rummage) sale at the end of May.
Everything But The House (EBTH.com) is a local auction company that specializes in online sales that reach people all over the country. Last year’s EBTH sale netted Heritage over $3,600. Items valued at $150 or more for this year’s EBTH sale are now being collected until the end of March. Items can include fine jewelry, musical instruments, unique collectibles, fine art or limited edition prints, high-end fashion items, rare coins, signed Waterford crystal, vintage toys, small antique furniture pieces, and automobiles or other motor vehicles. To donate items to the sale, and for more details, please contact Barbara Rohrer at 513-314-8705 or by email, or speak to her at church one Sunday. Barbara’s email is:
An on-site church rummage sale is scheduled for later this spring, Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, but it is not too early to begin putting aside items for the sales––or even collecting contributions from family and friends!
Based on past experience, only the following items will be accepted for the sale: household goods and home décor, tools, toys, sporting goods, musical instruments, women’s and men’s accessories, jewelry (packaged individually in zip lock bags), small antique items and small furniture pieces––small enough to be easily moved by any one person.
Other items do not sell well and will not be accepted. These include clothes (for any age), televisions, computers or other office equipment, holiday decorations, books, CDs, and DVDs.
Donated items must be in good condition, clean and priced. (Worried that your pricing may be out of line with someone else’s? No problem. Any major discrepancies will be dealt with at the point of sale.)
The sale will be in the sanctuary so as to not to displace the Taekwondo club who rents the great hall every Saturday. Volunteers will be needed. Information on how you can volunteer via a Sign-Up Genius will be announced in April. For more details now, again, contact Barbara Rohrer.
