Monthly Financial Reports were reviewed – we caught back up on contributions in December.
DLFD Report – There were four participants in the spiritual autobiography class, and there will be a spiritual autobiography sermon in May. Laci plans to focus on the larger question of how do we get more engagement from people.
Senior Minister’s Report – There is no report this month due to Reverend Bill taking vacation time.
Board Action Items
Replace Heritage Room heating system – The board voted in favor of going ahead with the purchase of a new wall unit to heat the Heritage room.
Review COVID-19 Policy – The board determined that a change to the COVID-19 policy was needed, due to increased numbers of COVID cases in recent weeks. The policy allows small groups to gather, but large, in-person services will stop for the time being. Services will be available on Zoom until further notice. The policy will be reviewed at the February board meeting.
Board Discussion Items
Spring Auction – The board is looking for someone to organize the Spring Auction. It was determined that the board will look for several volunteers to share smaller responsibilities together, rather than trying to find someone to take on the entire responsibility. Budget planning season reminders – The Town Hall meeting will be held January 30th. The board plans to highlight some spending needs- heat pump, items that need attention/repair, parking lot, etc.
Church sign improvements – The board and church administrator have been researching possibilities for some improvements to the church sign.
