Heritage’s women’s book club (known as the Babes with Books or BWB) travels back to pre-WWII with a coming-of-age selection titled Three Words for Goodbye, by Hazel Gaynor & Heather Webb. We will discuss this at the October 19 meeting, from 7 to 9 p.m., in the Heritage Room. Kristin Harmel, NY Times bestselling author, describes this novel as, “Vibrant and laced with fascinating historical references … this tale of the complicated love between sisters and the mending of fractured relationships will move you, entertain you, and maybe even inspire you to seek out a truer path of your own.”
Our future reading selections are as follows, subject to change a month prior to the meeting date:
- November 16 – Search, by Michelle Huneven
- December 21 – holiday party and film, The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which features the comedy acts of Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White
- January 18 – The Lincoln Highway, by Amor Towles
- February 15 – The Silent Patient, by Alex Michaelides
All women (be they members or friends) are always invited to any BWB meeting – whether they have read the book or not. Unless otherwise announced, the meeting’s selection is available on hold for the Heritage Book Club at the Anderson Township branch of the Hamilton County Library approximately a month in advance.
For inclusion in the BWB Google group emails, contact the Heritage office.
