The anticipation of October’s crisp weather means the Babes with Books, Heritage’s Woman’s Book Club, must consider alternative venues for their future meetings other than the church patio. For their October 21, 7-9 p.m. meeting they’ll attempt the virtual with a zoom meeting. If you participate in the babeswithbooks google group, you will receive the details of the zoom sign in a few days in advance. If you are not a part of this group but want to join us, contact Denise in the office to put you as a part of this Babes communication link or contact Barb at the email below for the specific zoom meeting information without joining our message group. You can email Barb at:
On October 20 – the day before the meeting – check your emails for any venue changes. October weather often serves up surprisingly nice evenings that may still offer a socially distanced rather than digital gathering. In other words, stay tuned for changes – the watch phrase of 2020!
Whether digital or socially distanced, you’ll want to participate in our October 21st discussion of The Starless Sea, by Erin Morgenstern. This highly unique novel will have you scratching your head as to what really happened, but you’ll love it all the same. Whatever format our discussion takes, it promises to be very lively!
The Babes upcoming meetings, reads and activities are as follows:
November 18 – The Immortalists, by Cloe Benjamin
December 16 – Holiday Party – no book to read
January 20 – All the Light We Cannot See, by Anthony Doerr.
All of Heritage’s adult female members and friends are always invited to attend, whether they’ve read the book or not.
