According to the Washington Post, the selection for the June 19 Heritage Women’s Book Club (Babes with Books) meeting is, “Marvelously optimistic about the future of books and bookstores and the people who love both.” Come discuss The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, by Gabrielle Zevin from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Heritage room.
Our July 17 and August 21 meetings move to wetter venues with pool parties/pot lucks at the Buckley and Rossa homes respectively. (See future announcements for meeting times.) At the July/Buckley gathering we will discuss Where’d You Go Bernadette?, by Maria Semple. At the August/Rossa gathering bring a joke to share, no book to read.
On September 18 we return to the Heritage room to discuss An American Marriage, by Tayari Jones. All women congregants and friends are invited to all gatherings, whether or not you have read the selected book.
