Senior Minister: Rev. Bill Gupton
Rev. Bill Gupton lives in Anderson Township with his wife, Jennifer Sanders. They are the proud parents of Patrick Sanders, a 2018 graduate of The Ohio State University. Bill was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist ministry by the UU Congregation of Atlanta, on Father’s Day in 1996, after graduating with an M.Div. from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, Ca. He has served UU congregations in Tulsa (Okla.), Oakland (Calif.), Columbus (Ohio), North Olmsted (Ohio), and Cincinnati. Heritage Church called him as its minister in April, 2002. Bill is a native of Tennessee, has traveled to every state except Alaska and to seven foreign countries, and enjoys traveling, watching sports, listening to music and practicing yoga.

Interim Religious Educator: Karen Hager
Karen Hager is our Interim Religious Educator, serving for a term that runs from January 1 through June 30, 2021. She works from a remote location to provide professional leadership for our religious education program for children and youth. As an interim, she also facilitates congregational discernment about the goals and direction of our program, thereby helping to lay the groundwork for the hiring of Heritage’s next settled Religious Educator.
Karen is the Director of Lifespan Faith Development at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Blacksburg, Virginia. She is a Unitarian Universalist Association Credentialed Religious Educator. Karen has written and published numerous curricula used in many UU churches in the U.S., and also trains other religious educators.

Music Director: Les Tacy
Les Tacy joined the church’s music staff on July 1, 2014, and became Music Director on July 1, 2017. A Unitarian Universalist since 2003, he worked as Music Director at the Northern Hills UU Fellowship in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2013, where he met and married his wife, Steph. Les has been a member of Heritage since moving to Anderson in 2006.
Les likes to sing, play guitar, piano, and even the banjo. He utilizes music from a variety of genre, and loves to include members and friends in the musical program. Les has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, having taught Music at the middle school level for a number of years, and excels in music theory and composition. His primary niche, however, is church music, and, in particular, UU church music. Les has a passion for providing musical ministry intended to enhance the meaningful worship for the members of Heritage.

Choir Director: Steve McCamley
Steve McCamley joined Heritage Church as Choir Director in September, 2017. Steve has been a Music Minister at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (IHM) in Anderson Township since 1997, and Co-Director of a Church Choir at IHM since 2001. He was a Music teacher in public schools in Pennsylvania for five years as a High School Choir Director, High School, Middle School and Elementary School Band Director, and general music teacher for grades 7-9. He also was a Music Director for a number of musicals at various theaters for five years. In Cincinnati, Steve has played in pit orchestras for musicals at local high schools for four years. He also produced and performed on albums of original songs by his wife, Sherry, and daughter, Erin. Steve can play many instruments, but particularly enjoys the saxophone and trombone. Steve has a degree in Music Education from Pennsylvania State University.
Steve also has an MBA in Marketing from Penn State, and has worked in Marketing and Sales for companies like Procter & Gamble and Kenner. Steve and Sherry live in Anderson Township, as does their adult son, Patrick. Steve is proud to follow in the footsteps of his daughter, who was Choir Director at Heritage from 2014-2017!

Church Administrator: Denise Martinez
Denise Martinez began working for Heritage in July 2002. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in both Business Administration and Information Systems. Her business background includes Computer Specialist with NIOSH, IT Systems Analyst for Cincinnati Bell and Computer Training Specialist, teaching Basic Language, Robotics, CAD and computer repair, as well as, a multitude of software packages. Denise lived in Northern Kentucky until 1984. She now lives in Anderson Township with her husband, Ken, and their two children, Jarrett and Marisa.

Technology Coordinator: Danny Goldstein
Danny Goldstein began working for Heritage in July 2020. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kean University, where he studied Graphic Design. He loves folk music, and enjoys gaming and art as a hobby. He lives in New Jersey with his partner Josh.

Nursery Caregiver and Coordinator: Dina Trahan
Dina (pronounced Dee – nah) Trahan began working for Heritage in November 2019. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a business degree and began her career working as a manager in a variety of restaurants. Her experience includes a previous position as a church childcare provider. She and her husband have a young son, Caleb.
