Wednesday, December 15, 2021, time TBD, offsite.
The holiday season is typically a time for hugs, etc., but this year the Babes with Books (Heritage’s women’s book club) will “literally” embrace with Squeeze Me, by Carl Hiaasen, at their December 15 meeting. This light-hearted crime novel pokes fun at the Palm Beach Florida wealthy and politically connected. This selection is definitely not a book for Trump advocates but anti-Trumpers will giggle their way through the rapidly turning pages.
As a nudge toward normalcy, the Babes are scaling back their usual December party to a modest gathering at the home of Julie Kane. Contact her or Barb Barnes (email address below) as the date approaches for details on times, location, and what food to bring to share.
Our future reads and meeting dates currently consist of:
- January 19 – Circe, by Madeline Miller
- February 16 – The Ice Queen, by Alice Hoffman
- March 16 – The Four Winds, by Kristin Hannah
- April 20 – The Last Thing He Told Me, by Laura Dave
All women, members or friends, are always invited to any BWB meeting – whether they have read the book or not. Unless otherwise announced, the meeting’s selection is available on hold for the Heritage Book Club at the Anderson Township library approximately a month in advance. For inclusion in the BWB Google group emails, contact Vali in the church office. For more BWB information, contact Barb at:
