A Lighter Read for Babes with Books

Wednesday, March 17, 2021, 7:00 p.m. Via Zoom.

Changing tone from last month’s deeply serious non-fiction selection, this month the Babes with Books (Heritage’s women’s book club) focuses on Ellen Foster, by Kay Gibbons, at their March 17, 7-9 p.m. Zoom meeting. One book club member billed this novel as a much lighter, quicker read than last month’s offering. Other reviewers called Ellen Foster “lovely, breathtaking, and sometimes heart-wrenching.” The story follows the honest and perceptive eleven-year-old Ellen Foster as she moves through various homes until she ultimately discovers one where she is wanted and loved.

If you are a part of the BWB Google Group you will automatically receive a Zoom meeting invitation six to eight days in advance. If you would like to join the group, contact Denise in the office at:

If you want a one-time only invitation, send an email at least two days in advance to Barb at:

Our further meeting dates and read selections are currently as follows:

  • April 21 – Dear Edward, by Ann Napolitano
  • May 19 – The Ten Thousand Doors of January, by Alix E. Harrow

All women members and friends of Heritage Church are welcome at any BWB meeting, whether you have attended previously or not.
