This June, Heritage embarks on an exciting new fundraising endeavor. Everything But The House (EBTH.com) is a local auction company that specializes in online sales that reach people all over the country. I have things that are worth something that I just do not need or it isn’t my style and I need to clean out the house – so maybe some of you are like this too? Why not pool our things and offer them up for sale together to benefit Heritage? Now we can tap into money sources outside of our congregation!
Things that we are looking for: jewelry, collectables, home goods, designer bags, furniture, art, tools, anything with WHEELS! IF you want more guidance as to what sells well, go to the website and view some of their current sales. We will rent a U-Haul truck and park it at church to fill up on Saturday, June 2nd. Or you can drop off things in advance if you are not available that day to the Buckley’s home (please contact Donna to arrange). Once we deliver the items Monday morning, their staff will unload the items, catalog and photograph them and then create an online sale just for us that will go live and last 5 days (exact date TBD as it depends on how many items that we bring in).
The donations are tax deductible and we receive a bigger portion of the profits than what a normal customer would receive since we are a non-profit! How much can we make? The sky is the limit! I’m asking for every member to bring in at least 3 items – but of course you can bring in many, many more.
Let us know if you have questions – or if you would be available to help members bring in items (trucks are handy!) – Or if you have large items that you need help to transport. Let us know if you could come in that drop-off Saturday to assist in the truck fill up! If you do have big items, let us know in advance so that we can get a big enough truck. In advance and on behalf of myself and Laura Knight (my co-chair), we thank you for your generosity!
