Members and friends of Heritage Universalist Unitarian Church are all invited to make merry and dine with the divine! This is an event for all ages. Heritage Church will be transformed into Mt. Olympus. You may come dressed as a mythological god, goddess, mythological character, or mythological creature, or may come as you are and can be dressed by our Muses. There will be a dressing area where attire will be provided and draped on you.
Live harp music will grace the hall for the beginning hour of the event, followed by a lively Greek classic playlist. Greek fare will be on showcase and your master resident culinary expert Garry Wilson is excitedly planning wonders to please your palate! Crafts will be available for children of all ages featuring: labyrinths, Medusas, Grecian urns, and ivy wreaths! It will be an entertaining night as the sanctuary first becomes the Acropolis where theatrical festivities will take place. A pop-up show of Pyramus and Thisbe, poetry, and storytelling! Oracles will be on hand to offer you personal divinations as well!
When the entertainment portion is ended, the Acropolis will then transform into The Panathenaic Stadium creating a center arena for games. Athletic participants will be called upon to battle in an assortment of mythologically inspired games. After the games have concluded, our emcee, Thane Thompson, will begin the live auction. Other items will be available for bidding in writing.
