What’s in a name? A great deal, if that name happens to be Heritage Universalist Unitarian Church. It was 190 years ago this week that our church held its first worship service – gathering to form a new kind of congregation on the frontier of the “West,” overlooking the wild Ohio River. The name that group of pioneers chose was “The First Universalist Society.” Today – several names and locations later – we celebrate our 190th anniversary with music and memories, reflections and rededication to our ideals.
