Kindergarten/1st grade: Acceptance
In today’s class participants will hear the story “Odd Velvet” about a young girl starting in a new school who gradually became accepted by her classmates. They’ll discuss the book and share examples of when they were the new child or in a new situation. Finally they’ll sing a new song: “I’m Unique and Unrepeatable.”
2nd/3rd grade: Love is Eternal
Children will hear a folk tale from Madagascar titled “How Death is Like a Banana Tree.” They’ll remember love ones or pets that have died and create memory flowers.
4th/5th grade: The More We Get Together
Youth will talk about all the different tasks required to run and sustain our congregation. They’ll discuss who is responsible for different tasks and make bookmarks as gifts.
Junior Youth: Youth will conclude their discussions on Hinduism and begin exploring Earth Centered Religions.
