Rev. Bill Gupton.
Earlier this summer (or perhaps, at the last minute this morning!) you collected a small amount of water from a place that is special or holds significance to you. Perhaps a lake or pond, stream or river, pool or tap, ocean or glacier. The time has come to merge those waters, in our annual Ingathering Sunday Water Ceremony, as we celebrate our return to community from the many branching paths we may have taken over the summer. Please bring your water with you to church today for this very special ritual of community. This multi-generational worship service also features the first performance of the new church year by our wonderful Choir.
