Caroline Yongue and Rev. Bill Gupton.
Each of us will die. No one will be left out. To live a good life is to understand and accept this truth. Both of our service leaders today firmly believe that by courageously contemplating and then preparing well for our death, we can provide an important gift to our loved ones, and our community.
Caroline Yongue is with us this weekend as the facilitator of our In-Home Funeral Practices workshop. She is the spiritual leader of the Anattasati Magga, a Buddhist Sangha in Asheville, N.C., which has become known in the community for its compassionate death care support through the Center for End-of-Life Transitions, which Caroline directs. Caroline is also the founder of the Carolina Memorial Sanctuary, western North Carolina’s first green burial nature preserve.
We will also have special music from Mimi Sinclair this morning.
