Rev. Bill Gupton.
One of every six persons in America suffers regularly from hunger. That number increases to one of every three persons of color, and one in every five children. Yet there is plenty of food in our “land of plenty” to feed everyone. How is this possible? How have we allowed this to occur? Why do we allow it to continue? Isn’t it time we thought about – talked about – did something about the hunger and food insecurity in our midst? This morning our hearts will be challenged, our spirits will be fed by our Choir and special music, and we will share our abundance with the nationwide network of non-profit foodbanks called Feeding America.
