The Ohio Poor People’s Campaign. Free admission.
Come learn the songs of power and justice – join your voice in the call for racial justice, nonviolence, fair wages, healthcare, and equal protection under the law. Led by Rev. Susan Smith, Tri-Chair, Ohio Poor People’s Campaign.
Join us to prepare for 40 Days of Action with the Ohio Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival (https://poorpeoplescampaign.org). Our moral movement is uniting tens of thousands of people across the country (including in Ohio) to challenge the evils of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, and ecological devastation.
Together, we will shift the distorted moral narrative in our country to focus on healing systemic injustices. The kick-off of the Campaign will be 40 Days of Action (six Mondays and weeks) in Ohio and Columbus from Mother’s Day, May 13 through Summer Solstice, June 21, 2018. Follow us on Facebook groups “Ohio Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival” and “Cincinnati Justice Tribe Network.”
The teach-in takes place on Sunday, May 6, 2018, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., at St. John’s Unitarian Universalist Church, 320 Resor Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220. The event will take place in the Krohlfifer Room.
