Before you know it, summer will be over and Fall activities will commence, including the beginning of our church year! Please read through the sections below for important information about our Religious Education programming.
Pokémon Summer Ends on August 13!
We’ve had loads of fun learning from Pokémon this summer, including sessions on building strong bodies and strong minds, and caring for our earth. We’ll wrap up on August 13th when everyone will “evolve” their Pokémon to it’s next stage, “capture” Pokémon that are hiding around the church grounds, and finally take their Pokémon Trainer backpacks and caps home. See Rev. Leslie if you cannot be there for our final session to collect your treasures.
“Level Up!” Worship Service on August 20th
Each August we celebrate (and lament) the end of summer with a worship service honoring our children and youth who are “leveling up” in their school careers. Children/youth entering kindergarten, middle school, and high school will be given special recognition. Please let Rev. Leslie know if a child(ren)/youth in your high school will be transitioning to kindergarten, middle school, or high school or the homeschool equivalent this Fall. Backpack blessings will also be available for everyone!
Ingathering Sunday and Water Ceremony on August 27
We celebrate the beginning of our church year with a special multigenerational worship service including merging the many waters that we have brought from our summer adventures, whether from near or far away. This year everyone should also bring a swimsuit and towel. Why? Come to church and find out!
