Each year, Heritage Church people join with other Unitarian Universalists in the Cincinnati Pride Parade and Festival. You can show your support for people who are Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and/or a part of a similar marginalized group by participating in the Parade and Festival.
In the parade through downtown Cincinnati, area UUs will be marching together with a float consisting of a car decorated with a huge flaming chalice on top. Typically, we also carry a Standing-on-the-Side-of-Love banner and one or more rainbow flags. At the Festival, which takes place at Sawyer Point, we UUs have an information booth to let people who are LGBT+ know that there is a religion that fully supports their sexuality and gender identity/expression.
Watch the Sunday Order of Service and other church media for details on times, gathering places, booth sign-ups, and other matters.
If you have questions, talk with Rebecca Pace or Roger Miller, or email them at Pride@huuc.net.
