Are you good at swinging a hammer or carrying lumber? Want to learn how to put up drywall or hang aluminum siding? Like to paint? Like to help provide lunch to volunteers? Just like helping?
Once again, Heritage Church will participate in the Habitat for Humanity Madisonville Coalition summer build. The lot for the new home construction is located at 6003 Sierra St. in Madisonville and a partner family has been found. The estimated start date for the build is Saturday, June 12, 2018.
Habitat helps low-income families move from substandard housing into safe, affordable, comfortable homes. Partner families supply hundreds of hours of volunteer time to help build or renovate the homes and community partners provide additional volunteer time.
Heritage church commits to helping one Saturday per month in the summer and the build averages about four months. We will be responsible for supplying lunch to the volunteers (usually about 15-20 people) on one of those Saturdays. Adults must accompany minors aged 16-17. No one under 16 is allowed at a build site.
Details will be announced as they become available. If you have further questions email Regina Pugh at firstname.lastname@example.org.
