The constitution revision team and the Board of Trustees are proposing the last round of amendments to the church constitution. These amendments will be voted on at the congregation’s Annual Meeting on June 4.
To prepare for this vote, two congregational conversation meetings will take place after church on Sundays, March 26 and April 2, in the sanctuary. A draft of the proposed amendments can be obtained from this Announcement webpage. You are encouraged to review the amendments and attend one or both of the meetings, which will provide an opportunity for you to offer feedback and comments on the proposed revisions.
Feedback will be considered by the Board before it submits any final proposed constitutional amendments to the congregation at the Annual Meeting. You may also offer feedback to any Board member outside the context of the congregational conversations. The two Board members working most closely on the revisions are Donna Buckley and Louise Lawarre; you can email them at Constitution@huuc.net.
In an effort to make the Annual Meeting as efficient as possible, we would like the majority of comments/questions regarding the proposed amendments to take place during these conversation sessions.
Your participation and input are greatly valued.
