While some Heritage members were at the Turkish American Society of Ohio (TASO) interfaith picnic, they and all Heritage people received an invitation to be guests at any of a series of Iftar dinners (the fast-breaking dinners during Ramadan) in the homes of local Turkish-American host families.
TASO notes that this is an important time not only for those who participate in Ramadan because of their faith, but also an important time to share traditions with friends from different backgrounds over delicious food and through lively conversation. It is truly a special time when people of all backgrounds come together and share in the Iftar experience, learning about different cultures and faiths in the process.
There are eight different dates to choose from, all starting at 8:30 p.m. on a variety of days of the week. Guests are not expected to fast.
