Thursdays, September and October. Offsite. Registration Required.
First Unitarian Church of Cincinnati has sent the following invitation to Heritage UU Church:
“Our Adult Religious Education (ARE) and Social Justice committees are planning for a second presentation of ‘Being White in the Black Lives Matter Movement’ (Portland Curriculum) for 30 participants at First Unitarian Church [536 Linton St., Cincinnati, OH 45219]. We welcome participation of interested adult members of your congregation with a suggested donation of $20 per person. The dates are Thursdays, September 14, 21, 28, and October 5 from 7 to 9 pm. Child care will be provided.
“The first offering of this facilitated curriculum for First Church members was very well-received. We are pleased to again have Ms. Gray-Girton, Assistant Director of the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice, as our facilitator. Each session includes brief preparatory readings, large and small group discussions, videos, and personal reflections.
“For additional information or to register, please contact Jane Hopson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 513-607-3476.
“We look forward to having some members of your congregation join us in September for this enriching experience.”
