As the leaves about us change, we may have memories of flowers – a segue into the title of the Heritage women’s book club Babes with Books (BWB) selection for the November 15 gathering: A Memory of Violets, by Hazel Gaynor. This story (set in Victorian London where the wealth and poverty exist side by side) tells of two long-lost sisters, whose lives take different paths, and the young woman transformed by their experiences.
Future BWB activities include the following:
- Holiday party and movie (Title: Because I Said So), December 20
- The Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah, January 17
- Change of Heart, by Jodi Picoult, February 21
All women members and friends are invited to join us in the Heritage room from 7 to 9 p.m., whether or not you have read the book or attended previously. If you have questions, see Barb Barnes, or email her at BWB@huuc.net.
