Rev. Bill Gupton lives in Anderson Township with his wife, Jennifer Sanders. They are the proud parents of Patrick Sanders, an ecological engineering major at The Ohio State University. Bill was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist ministry by the UU Congregation of Atlanta, on Father’s Day in 1996, after graduating with an M.Div. from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, Ca. He has served UU congregations in Tulsa (Okla.), Oakland (Calif.), Columbus (Ohio), North Olmsted (Ohio), and Cincinnati. Heritage Church called him as its minister in April, 2002. Bill is a native of Tennessee, has traveled to every one of the 48 contiguous states and seven foreign countries, and enjoys traveling, watching sports, listening to music and practicing yoga.

Rev. Leslie Woodward became our Assistant Minister for Religious Education in August 2012, currently working half-time to organize programming and minister to our children, youth and families. She is also employed as a hospice chaplain with Grace Hospice in Dayton, Ohio. Leslie was ordained by the Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in 2008 after graduating from Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, Indiana. Her background includes extensive study in religious education philosophy and methods, with experience facilitating religious education classes at many age levels, including Our Whole Lives (OWL), Coming of Age (COA) and world religions programs at Miami Valley. Originally from Minnesota (for 12 years) by way of Hawaii (for 20 years), she lives in Centerville with her husband Chris, a lifelong UU, and they have two young adult sons. They enjoy swing dancing, hiking, and travel together.

Erin McCamley joined Heritage Church as its Choir Director in November 2014. Erin is a Cincinnati native with deep family ties here. She is a conductor, music director, singer/ songwriter and actor who three years ago turned her passion for songwriting into a Bachelors of Music in Music Composition from the Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music in northeast Ohio. It was there that Erin also discovered a love for conducting; since then she has conducted pit orchestras, choirs and symphony orchestras around both Cleveland and Cincinnati.
Erin had the honor of being chosen to conduct the CCM Philharmonia Orchestra for the opera La Cenerentola in the summer of 2013, as well as a Verdi workshop at CCM in October of 2013, and the opera L’Elisir d’Amore this past August. Erin spent last summer in Arezzo, Italy, conducting two operas as part of the “Oberlin in Italy” Intensive. Currently, Erin music directs at several local high schools, including Anderson High, as well as with the Showbiz Players.

Les Tacy became our Interim Music Director on July 1, 2014. A Unitarian Universalist since 2003, he worked as Music Director at the Northern Hills UU Fellowship in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2013, where he met and married his wife, Steph. Les has been a member of Heritage since moving to Anderson in 2006.
Les likes to sing, play guitar, piano, and even the banjo. He utilizes music from a variety of genre, and loves to include members and friends in the musical program. Les has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, having taught Music at the middle school level for a number of years, and excels in music theory and composition. His primary niche, however, is church music, and, in particular, UU church music. Les has a passion for providing musical ministry intended to enhance the meaningful worship for the members of Heritage.

Denise Martinez began working for Heritage in July 2002. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in both Business Administration and Information Systems. Her business background includes Computer Specialist with NIOSH, IT Systems Analyst for Cincinnati Bell and Computer Training Specialist, teaching Basic Language, Robotics, CAD and computer repair, as well as, a multitude of software packages. Denise lived in Northern Kentucky until 1984. She now lives in Anderson Township with her husband, Ken, and their two children, Jarrett and Marisa.

Lilly has been with Heritage as our Nursery Coordinator since 2007, working with infants and toddlers. A retired school teacher, she earned a B. A. degree in Child Development, a Master of Education degree, and has completed coursework towards a doctoral degree in education. She also worked for seven years in the Research and Evaluation Branch at the Education Center, working closely with teachers and principals.
Lilly shares that she has had a fantastic career working with children and adults in classroom settings and is happy to share her experience and love of children with Heritage.
